The India Furniture Conclave 2024 hosted an engaging session on the theme of “Making It Big in the Furniture & Interior Business,” featuring two prominent trailblazers, Kirit Joshi, Co-Founder of Spacewood, and Vijaai Subramaniam, Chairman of Royaloak Furniture. Their journeys, marked by determination, innovation, and relentless growth, served as a roadmap for aspiring entrepreneurs in the industry.
Kirit Joshi, Co-Founder of Spacewood, took the audience through his company’s incredible milestones, starting from humble beginnings in 1994. Spacewood began as a small workshop manufacturing OEM components, gradually evolving into a product manufacturer, branded manufacturer, and eventually a retail giant.
On the other hand, Vijaai Subramaniam, Chairman of Royaloak Furniture, shared the story of his company’s rise from a single store to over 200 locations. Subramaniam acknowledged that the journey wasn’t easy, as managing retail operations required immense attention to detail and a clear vision of where to take the brand.
Both panelists offered invaluable advice for budding entrepreneurs in the furniture and interior business. While Joshi emphasized innovation, technology, and customer focus, Subramaniam highlighted the importance of vision, detail in retail, and the vast potential within the unorganized sector.
